Terms of Service
DRAFT — requires attorney review. Prepared 2026-09-22. This is not legal advice and makes no claim of compliance. The [BRACKETS] must be completed by the owner or counsel. Apple's Standard EULA (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) applies by default unless we provide a custom EULA in App Store Connect. Decide which approach to use (see note at end).Effective date: [DATE] Provider: [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [ADDRESS] ("we", "us") Contact: support@sprigtime.com
1. Agreement
When you download or use Sprigtime (the "App"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy (https://sprigtime.com/privacy). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Who may use the App
- The App must be installed, set up and controlled by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live).
- A child may use the child-facing parts of the App only on a device a parent has set up, and under that parent's supervision. The parent is responsible for the child's use of the App and for deciding which rules and limits apply.
- If you set up the App on a device you do not own or control, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.
3. What the App does and does not do
- The App lets a parent define tasks and a screen-time "minutes" balance. It uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Device Activity and Managed Settings) to limit selected apps when the balance runs out.
- The App is a family-routine tool. It is not a guaranteed safety, security or monitoring product. Screen Time enforcement is performed by iOS and depends on device settings, the iOS version, Apple's services and how the device is configured. A determined user may be able to get around the limits, for example by changing Screen Time settings, revoking authorization, or resetting the device. We do not guarantee that limits will always apply, that balances will always be exact, or that the App will run without interruption.
- The App does not monitor messages, browsing content or location, and it does not report activity to us.
- Optional AI suggestions are produced on the device by Apple's models. They may be inaccurate or unsuitable. The parent must review every suggestion before using it.
4. Your data
The App stores data on your device (see Privacy Policy). You are responsible for your device and its backups. Because we do not run a server in this version, we cannot recover data that is deleted or lost, for example if the App or the device is removed or reset.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the App to: (a) monitor or restrict anyone other than a child in your care, or a device you are authorized to manage; (b) harass, shame or harm a child, for example through proof photos, which should never show nudity, bathrooms or other private moments; (c) reverse-engineer, circumvent or misuse the App or Apple's frameworks, except where the law allows; (d) break any law.
6. Purchases
[IF PAID/SUBSCRIPTION: pricing, auto-renewal terms, free trial, how to cancel via Apple ID subscriptions, refunds handled by Apple under Apple's policies. Apple In-App Purchase is required for digital features. Required auto-renewal disclosures must appear in-app and in metadata. OTHERWISE: "The App is currently offered free of charge."]
7. Intellectual property
We own the App and its content. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple's Usage Rules. You keep ownership of the content you create, such as tasks and photos.
8. Beta versions
TestFlight or other beta builds may be incomplete, may contain bugs, and may lose data. They are provided for testing and feedback only. Feedback you send may be used to improve the App without any obligation to you.
9. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. [COUNSEL: jurisdiction-specific consumer-law carve-outs.]
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR US$50. [COUNSEL: review.]
11. Apple-specific terms
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. To the extent any warranty applies, if the App fails to conform to it, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any), and Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims. Apple is not responsible for third-party intellectual property claims. You represent that you are not in a U.S.-embargoed country and not on a U.S. prohibited-party list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or discontinue the App. Sections 4, 7, 9, 10, 11 and 13 survive.
13. Governing law and disputes
[COUNSEL: governing law (e.g. State of California), venue, and whether to include an arbitration/class-waiver clause. Consider consumer-protection limits and minors' capacity to contract.]
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will give notice in the App. If you keep using the App after the changes take effect, you accept them.

Owner/counsel note on EULA choice: The simplest route is to rely on Apple's Standard EULA and publish these Terms at https://sprigtime.com/terms as supplemental terms, linked in the App Description and inside the App. If the App adds auto-renewing subscriptions, App Review expects a functional link to the Terms of Use (EULA) in the App Store metadata and inside the App.
